🛠️ Troubleshooting: Layered Christmas Jell-O Cups
❄️ My layers mixed together. What happened?
Your previous layer wasn’t set enough, or the next layer was still warm. Chill each layer until just firm and let new Jell-O cool to room temperature before pouring.
⏳ My layers won’t set.
Double-check your liquid measurements. Too much water can prevent setting. Also be sure to give each layer enough fridge time.
🤍 The white layer is rubbery.
Too much gelatin can cause this. Use exactly one envelope and don’t skip mixing in the sweetened condensed milk.
📏 The layers look uneven.
Place cups on a flat tray and gently tap to level before chilling. A muffin tin can help keep cups steady.
💥 My layers cracked.
The new layer was poured too quickly. Spoon gently over the back of a spoon to protect the layer underneath.
🫧 Bubbles in my Jell-O.
Stir gently and skim bubbles off the surface before pouring for a crystal-clear look.
