Tips & Variations

  • Less heat: Remove all seeds and membranes for milder poppers.

Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers (Optional Upgrade)

For an extra indulgent, crowd-pleasing twist, wrap the stuffed jalapeños in crispy bacon before baking.

Additional Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half
  • Toothpicks (optional, for securing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the poppers:
Stuff the jalapeño halves with the cream cheese mixture as directed.
  2. Wrap with bacon:
Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon, stretching slightly to cover most of the pepper. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
  3. Bake:
Place bacon-wrapped poppers seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet or wire rack.
Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 25–30 minutes, until the bacon is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
  4. Optional crisping:
For extra crispy bacon, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end—watch closely.
  5. Serve:
Let cool slightly, remove toothpicks, and serve warm.

💡 Tip:
If your bacon is thick-cut, par-cook it for 3–4 minutes before wrapping so it crisps up perfectly in the oven.
