Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish Bake

Ingredients
Danish Bake
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz each / 226 g each)
- 8 oz (226 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 cups (300 g) fresh blueberries
- 1 tbsp (8 g) cornstarch
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
- 1 tbsp (12 g) granulated sugar (for blueberries)
Buttery topping
- 3 tbsp (42 g) butter, melted
- 2 tbsp (25 g) granulated sugar
Optional glaze
- 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp (15–30 ml) milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking dish.
2. Prepare blueberry mixture
In a bowl, gently mix:
- blueberries
- 1 tbsp sugar
- lemon juice
- cornstarch
Set aside.
3. Prepare cream cheese filling
In another bowl beat until smooth using an electric mixer:
- cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- egg
- vanilla extract
4. Assemble the layers
Unroll 1 can of crescent dough and press into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing seams.
Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over dough.
Top with blueberry mixture.
Unroll second crescent dough sheet and place on top.
5. Add topping
Brush melted butter over dough.
Sprinkle with sugar.
6. Bake
Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool at least 20 minutes before adding glaze.
7. Optional glaze
Mix powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle over slightly cooled bake.
