  • 1–2 tbsp milk (15–30 ml), as needed

Instructions

1. Prepare the dough

In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Add sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt. Mix well.

Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms (about 8–10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes with mixer).

Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2. Make the strawberry filling

In a saucepan, combine:

  • strawberries
  • sugar
  • lemon juice
  • cornstarch

Cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until thickened. Cool completely.

3. Assemble the rolls

Roll dough into a rectangle (about 10×14 inches / 25×35 cm).

Spread cooled strawberry filling evenly over dough.

Roll tightly into a log and slice into 9–12 rolls.

Place in a greased 9×13-ich baking dish.

Cover and let rise for 30–40 minutes.

4. Bake

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

5. Make the glaze

Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and milk until smooth.
